The small business owner’s daily routine is diverse and composed of many roles, including all the aspects of managing a product or a service, followed by the need to supervise and find motivation for the marketing and sales activities, through to thinking and planning how to continue to excel, so you will make your business more productive and well-grounded and your brand a success.
Establishing a business and making your business a success you maintain over time, are very different aspects. The road to success has its ups and downs and its losses and gains. Your daily routine as a business owner, striving to grow your business and profit, requires you to listen to the market and adapt to changes, focus on one task as you oversee the entire picture, take personal initiatives and know how to ask for help, firmly stand your ground or be flexible as you try different modes of action.
While you are ultimately shaped by your own experiences, and any business owner must discover what moves to make by going through the motions and gaining self-confidence, in my practice, it is imperative for your success to also learn to reach out for help or feedback from someone who has or had similar experiences.
In retrospect, the advice I needed when I established my business, and which I would have gained a lot from is: it’s going to cost you more than you imagine and take longer than you think to fulfill your vision.
